Operations plans
Department plans tied to structure and metrics
What an operations plan is
An operations plan (sometimes shown as an “ops / battle plan” in the product) is the department’s working plan: what we are driving this period, linked to positions and metrics where possible.
Why it belongs next to the org chart
Plans that live only in slides drift away from who owns them. In Formion, plans sit with the people and positions that must execute them.
How leadership can use this
- Each department head keeps one current plan
- Link the plan to the metrics that prove progress
- Review plans in the same rhythm as your curves / status meeting
- When reality changes, update the plan the same week — do not wait for quarter-end theater
Keep it short
A one-page living plan beats a 40-page document nobody opens.
